The Sims releases April 2025 laundry list of upcoming possible bug fixes for the next update
If you’re still experiencing snow and rain in your Sims’ homes, the good news is that The Sims addressed it in the recent Laundry List on April 24. The bad news is that it’s still being investigated.
The Laundry List is a post on the ea.com website that lists top community bugs the team is currently investigating and plans to release fixes with the next game update.
The list has 12 bugs of “top community concerns we’re investigating for our next update.”

Teenage Sims aging up to young adults and do not get a third trait.
High school event tasks do not appear for secondary active teen Sims.
After shaving to preferred length, arm hairs are not removing.
Sims with any level of logic skill are unable complete Chess Fair puzzle.
Rebirth : Sim greyed out as a Ghost Sim but not forwarded to the rebirth screen.
Rebirth interaction results in a simulation error for Sims with reward traits such as Affection Aficionado, Beloved, and Romantic Sage.
Godrays appear every time for the Occult picker in the CAS UI.
Sims unresponsive & game freeze in save menu when multiple ghosts are in Household.
[Mac] Game becomes unresponsive while traveling to the Library and Nightclub in Willow Creek.
Posts like “Unable to water plants” have over 600 upvotes on the forum since it was posted 2 months ago.
It also mentions issues that “can be complicated to replicate and require an extended investigation on our end” in the post.
One of these issues is the most notable “Weather Effects Occuring Indoors” with players seeing snow, rain, and other effects in their homes when playing.
That post was posted 4 months ago and has over 1400 upvotes.

Fishing in Sulani

The laundry list states that even though it’s listed, it’s not a sure thing that a fix will come.
“So even though we are actively reviewing, it’s not a guarantee that we’ll have an immediate fix for it in the upcoming patch,” according to the post.
When it comes to bugs and issues with the game, the team uses the EA Forums to see what needs fixing. Make sure you report and upvote issues so the team knows it’s not an isolated issue.
